The
verses in the Bible relating to
spiritual gifts may sound a bit
scary – speaking in tongues,
interpreting and such. Many of us
hear the verse and worry a bit
because we don’t have any of those
gifts. The reality is that there are
a multitude of gifts and each and
every one of us has God-given gifts
that we can use every day!
In
September, October and November, we
will hear from members and friends
of Good Shepherd as they talk about
their gifts and how they use them in
their work, paid and volunteer.
Just a
little selection of the people who
will be describing how they use
their gifts:
-
Larry Hitt will talk about the
gifts he used as a deputy to the
2009 General Convention.
-
Becky Jones from Jubilee
Ministries will talk about how
she uses her gifts, in promoting
Jubilee Ministries and
organizing a team to monitor the
Colorado legislature for bills
relating to the church’s
outreach efforts.
-
Ed
Morgan has a very active
retirement serving as interim
rector for parishes, and, most
recently, on a temporary basis
in the Bishop’s Office.
-
Elaine Oxenbury will talk about
the gifts necessary in her work
with Mary’s Hope. Grab a cup of
coffee and join us at 9:00 AM in
the Chapel!
