Christmas is approaching!! Are you frazzled? Between an ever-growing shopping list, neighborhood parties, and school concerts for your kids or grandkids, it's easy to forget the season of Advent. Don't fret! Good Shepherd invites you to take a few minutes on Saturday, December 9, anytime between 8:00 am and 11:00 am to visit the chapel and reflect in a quiet space. Stop by on your way to the mall and take a quick break from the commercialism of Christmas. You are invited to stay as long as you like and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee.
Reflections and devotions will be available for you to read and take home to share with your family and friends. We will have a booklet using paintings as prayer, Alternative Advent Calendars to mark the day-by-day journey by giving and sharing, contemplative mandalas, and a traditional display of "O Come, O Come Emmanuel" ornaments. Come and see!
What better way to greet the crazed, holiday rush than by purposefully slowing down in anticipation of the true gifts of Christmas?
