The Lord your God is with you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.  Zephaniah 3:17

Sunday school will start at 8:45 on January 28.  The Annual Meeting will take place on this day, which means there will be one service that morning at 9:00 am, immediately followed by the meeting at approximately 10:15.  Activities for children are offered downstairs while adults attend this important yearly all-church meeting.

Sunday school begins at 9:45 every Sunday, except as noted above, when Sunday school will begin at 8:45 on January 28.  As a reminder, there is one Godly Play classroom, for children aged 3 years through 2nd grade.  Grades 3, 4 and 5 are using Living the Good News, which is lectionary-based, meaning that children are learning about the Bible readings which adults are hearing in church. We always hope that this curriculum promotes family discussions.

The Godly Play classroom will have presentations that will include Baptism (January 7), The Good Shepherd and World Communion (January 14), The Synagogue and Upper Room (January 21) and Symbols of the Holy Eucharist (January 28).

The themes for grades 3 through 5 will be: God’s Beloved Son—John baptizes Jesus.  God’s Spirit comes to Jesus as God calls Jesus “My own dear Son.” (January 7); Chosen by God---Philip and Nathanael move past expectations and into the wonder of knowing Jesus (January 14); Heeding the Call---Jesus begins His ministry in Galilee, calling four fishermen to be His first followers (January 21) and Speaking with Power---Jesus speaks with compassion and power, healing a demoniac in the synagogue (January 28).

Thank you for making church a priority and sharing your child with us on Sunday mornings.  We consider it a privilege to come alongside you as, together, we help your child along their spiritual journey.
