In September, Good Shepherd will be focusing on volunteer ministry and opportunities for service in our church community by bringing back two Ministry Fairs on Sunday, September 17 and 24.
Tables displaying different ministries will be set up in the Parish Hall and ministry leaders will be available to discuss and share information. On September 17th, we will highlight all of our worship ministries. These include 14 different groups that serve our three Sunday worship services (7:30 am, 10:00 am and 6:00 pm). On September 24th, we will highlight ministries that provide people with opportunities to connect with other parishioners, including but not limited to: education for children, youth and adults, youth ministry, outreach, men’s and women's groups. Four or five ministry programs that will start up or take place this fall will be displayed on both Sundays, including: a new small group program titled, “Discipleship: Explore Your Life With God,” stewardship, Hungry Flock dinner groups, the Pumpkin Patch outreach fundraiser, and the Music With a Mission concert series.
Ministry tables featuring the ministries highlighted on the previous Sunday will remain set up in the church hallway for parishioners who were not able to attend church on the previous Sunday, and ministry display tables will also be moved to the chapel for those who attend the 6 pm service.
