Senior Singles Makes Church Acquaintances into Good Friends

Good Shepherd has an active group of persons who have plied many occupations.  We have a retired judge, veterinarian, doctor, homemaker, teachers, tech workers, nurses, etc., etc.  Yet we come together and find wonderful fellowship with one another.  Anyone who considers themselves a senior and a single is welcome to join us.

Senior Singles meets once a month in homes to share a meal.  Usually there is a theme for the menu, i.e. Mediterranean, French, Mexican, Israeli, my heritage, Mardi Gras, Irish. We eat amazing dishes prepared by one another and then share many stories of our well-lived lives.

Senior Singles also has taken two "road trips", one to Palisade wineries and one to a concert in Breckenridge.  Consensus is that we will be doing more of this sort of short trip together.

Next year in early June we are working on a tentative trip to Alaska on Holland America cruise lines.  We hope to open this event to anyone in the church who might like to participate.

Join us for our next meeting

The next meeting of our Senior Singles is Friday, September 22, at Connie Branton's house, just a little ways from the church.  Theme for our dinner:  "My favorite recipe".  Please RSVP to Connie Branton at 208 871-1034 or cbmusik@comcast.net.
