Prayer is the key of the morning and bolt of the evening. — Mahatma Gandhi
At the start of what promises to be a busy holiday season, we invite you to stop, take a breath, and begin the day with contemplative time on Saturday December 8 in our St. Francis Chapel. There will be “drop-in” hours, from 9 am to noon, allowing you to join us when can, and stay for as long as you want. You are on your own to explore and use the time as you wish for prayer, meditation or journaling.
To those of you new to this concept, our "Quiet Mornings,” offered at various times of the year, are opportunities to be still and listen to God, away from the hustle and bustle. We use our beautiful Chapel for this time. Our theme will be morning prayer. Praying first thing in the morning is the perfect way to find that needed encouragement, peace and strength for the day's tasks ahead. There will be take-home materials, including morning prayers for everyday use.
