United Thank Offering is Back at Good Shepherd!

UTO blue box.png

For more than 125 years, The United Thank Offering (UTO) has been a ministry of The Episcopal Church for the mission of the whole church.

Through UTO we nurture the habit of giving daily thanks to God. These prayers of thanksgiving start when we recognize and name our many blessings and drop a coin into our blue box. It’s a wonderful way to spend a moment with your child or grandchild while they learn the practice of gratitude.

Those who participate in UTO discover that thankfulness leads to generosity.  The monies are collected and distributed annually to support innovative mission and ministry throughout The Episcopal Church and the Anglican Communion.  100% of the donations to UTO are given away.

Blue collection boxes will be available in September to take home – just look for the UTO blue table for boxes and other materials.  We’ll have some fun surprises later in the year too.  For information, contact Karin Elsen, Vestry Member.
