Special Advent music and fundraiser for the Organ Fund on Sunday December 2nd

On December 2nd, our Good Shepherd choir, guest soloists, a small orchestra, and organ will present "Magnificat" by Buxtehude.  It is in three short sections and will be presented as part of the regular worship that day during the 10:00 a.m. service.  This is the first Sunday of Advent.  What better way to start the Advent/Christmas season than to sing the song of the Virgin Mary glorifying her father in heaven?

In addition to the special music on December 2nd, our choir would like to have a "Bux" Bazaar.  We would like donations of handcrafts, baked goods, woodworking, canned jams etc., photography art, paintings, etc.  We would like to have a holiday sale at the church after both morning worship services to raise money for the organ and also give you, the congregation, a chance to buy some homemade items for your friends.

If you are crafty or artistic or a cook, please consider donating items for the sale on that Sunday.

Contact Connie Branton if you are interested in participating in this fundraiser and helping with purchase of a new electronic organ for Good Shepherd.
