We are pleased to announce our new Senior and Junior Wardens, as well as new members to the Good Shepherd Vestry, which were all elected at our Annual Meeting on January 27. Carl Algermissen, who was previously serving on the Vestry, will be taking over as our Senior Warden. Karin Elsen will now become our Junior Warden, vacating her position on the Vestry class of 2019. Greg Bell, Good Shepherd’s treasurer, has stepped up to finish Karin’s last year on the Vestry class of 2019. Marjorie Lell who was finishing her last year on the Vestry class of 2018 has agreed to start another three year term on the Vestry class of 2021. Two new Vestry members, Christina Blackburn and Ellen Blackburn (no relation), will join Marjorie to round out the class of 2021.

The Good Shepherd Vestry is the governing body of our Church. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church's mission by word and deed, to select the rector, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances. The Vestry, along with Fr. Gary, will play a vital role in discerning Good Shepherd’s identity in the market, and ultimately determine the direction that Good Shepherd will take in the future. We encourage you to get to know your Vestry members, provide them with feedback, and let your voice be known in our process of transition.
